Foreign Travel Advice

Explore Zimbabwe, Botswana and Namibia with wildlife experiences and game viewing opportunities that are truly off the beaten track. Beautiful Zimbabwe has two of the pearls of Africa, Hwange and Matobo NP. In Hwange we learn about the painted dogs (African wild dogs) and in Matobo we go on a walking safari in search of the White Rhino. We visit Etosha NP in Namibia, home to some of the largest elephants in Africa and the endangered black rhino. Namibia also offers spectacular and varied scenery; the dunes of the Namib Desert that stretch south from Swakopmund through to Sossusvlei, the barren mountains of Spitzkoppe and the unrivalled Fish River Canyon. Sitting in between we have the highlight of the whole tour, the totally unique swamplands of the Okavango Delta in Botswana. We also visit the beautiful Chobe NP by boat for more game viewing opportunities. All in all this is an amazing journey and you need 24 days to experience it all.

Sophie G

Great way to explore a wide area and really get a feel for the land.

Kyle D

Brilliant experience, will definitely be recommending to friends!

Sorin B

Another excellent trip. My 6th with Dragoman

Elizabeth H

The trip was a million times better than I was expecting!

Sarah S

This was my second trip with Dragoman and exceeded even my highest expectations. Tour leader was a fantastic leader and a true expert for exploring Africa - his knowledge of the ecosystem and animals often exceeded the guides and his enthusiasm was very motivating. There was many highlights but in general the level of accommodation was much higher than i had anticipated. Gweta lodge was one of my favorite campsites. The house boat on the Okavango was a great touch, plus the walking with rhinos was an unforgettable experience. Gillian G

Superb route with so many highlights along the way. The landscape, animals, guides and experiences were just amazing.

Pauline D

Loved whole experience of overlanding - ticked many bucket list boxes and met great people.

Philip R

Very well designed and very well executed by the tour leader

Ciro P

This was my third trip with Dragoman and all have been excellent. We had a good team with a good mix genders, nations, and ages. I particularly appreciate this having seen some of the other overland companies. Dragoman trips seem to have a good balance of fun and focus on the local culture and environment. You also seem to have the best (from what I've seen) truck set-up and trip culture.

Patricia R

This is the second trip I've experienced with Dragoman both experiences have been very positive. Enjoyed most experiencing different landscapes and seeing animals. Especially in Etosha National Park.... a truly magical experience.

John P

Had never done any travel Like this before and I have to say it was one of the best things I’ve ever done. What made the trip were the people on it, the places we went to, the animals we were able to see, the experience learning about the history and culture of the counties, but most of all the fantastic crew we had.

Sian N

Packed, interesting itinerary. excellent tour leader

Emma P

An amazing way to see the country and make the most of your time there. The best thing about the trip was the itinerary being organised for you and not having to do any of the thinking! There were many highlights of the trip - Etosha National Park, Hwange, the Namibian desert and Deadvlei and wild camping at the base of Spitzkoppe.

Erica S

Traveling with Dragoman was great and carefree. It was nice to have someone do all the work of finding the cool spots, and being along for the ride.

Barbara A

I really enjoyed my first trip with Dragoman. Great group of people who embraced the experience and culture of overlanding. It is different but brings a great sense of participation and fun.

Georgina W

The experience with Dragoman has been superb. The office who helped me initially find the trip on the dates I could do was extremely responsive and friendly. The trip itself was unforgettable and I am so grateful to Dragoman for delivering such an awesome experience. The itinerary was excellent. We covered iconic sights and had superb guides along the way. The crew were brilliant. We couldn’t have wished for any better and actually made the trip what it was for us. They were the perfect mix of fun and light hearted with responsible and hard working. THANK YOU! The truck was definitely the best of all that we saw and kept in good condition. Having a good truck really made a difference. Finally, the cook's cooking was excellent. Everyone really appreciated all of the vegetables and his fantastic attitude and smile.

Judith K

The itinerary was awesome and the camaraderie was great.
